What does MAGA really mean?\u00a0 Donald Trump says it means Make America Great Again, but what does that mean?\u00a0 He even trademarked it, even though it has been in general use for years.<\/p>\n

I think it means Make America Gilded Again<\/strong>.\u00a0 In the United States, the Gilded Age<\/a> was an era extending approximately from 1877 to 1896.<\/p>\n

\"The<\/a>The Gilded Age was characterized by high concentrations of wealth, low wages for most workers.\u00a0 Seems just what we have today in the United States of America.\u00a0 Off-shoring of manufacturing has gutted the middle-class in America.\u00a0 The technology industry has concentrated wealth increasingly in fewer hands.<\/p>\n

The phrase works because the greatness is in the mind of the beholder, so it resonates with a large number of people, but promises nothing specific, making it a great slogan for a politician.\u00a0 That’s why so many people have used it and many variations.\u00a0 Personally I like “MEGA”<\/strong> or “Make Everything Great Again”<\/strong> popularized in a wall mural by artists Dominykas \u010ce\u010dkauskas and Mindaugas Bonanu in Vilnius, Lithuania.<\/p>\n
